JUst a quick note on what we have been doing. We worked for a week on a cattle station called Pardoo. 500,000 acres and 5000 head of cattle. We didn't do too much with the cattle though as they only get mustered anually. Our jobs included moving the sprinklers on the quad bike, mowing, cleaning, maintenance etc. We got paid pretty well on top of our keep. There was a chef there, cookie, who was employed by a mining company as Pardoo is also a pace for the miners to stay. Her meals were awesome. A good break from cooking also. The temp barely dropped below 40 in the day and last WEdnesday it topped 43. Very hot when working outside.
The experience was awesome and the people we met couldn't be nicer. On one of the arvos after work, Luke and i took the quad bike to the beach via a very sandy 4wd trail. Lots of fun andd lots of cattle, Kangaroos and other wildlife.
I will attach some photos when we get to a better computer.
Point Samson is nice. Great swimming, still no surf. Great snorkelling, saw turtles, fish and rays. Been fishing quite a bit. Hooked on to a big one last night but it snapped us of afer about 5 mins. Will go back tonight. Will headto Dampier tomorrow.

Hi Luke & Lauren. I typed a long, newsy letter
this arvo. Took me ages & when I went to send
you the blog I lost the lot! It pays to know
what you're doing with these computers. So, here
goes again...with Daves help. I really look
forward to reading your blogs. What an amazing
holiday you are having & the photos are
fantastic. Glad to hear you picked up some work.
No matter how much planning goes into travelling
it always seems to cost more than you envisaged.
You really have travelled some miles. Some news
from home: things at the tip seem to have
settled down. Work now has 2 teams...Bush Regen.
with all the girls: Alison, Anette, Janice,
Kylie & me, with Kerrie dropping in most days
for a while, working Mon, Thurs & Fri. Reveg.
with Greg, Laura, (Kylie Tues & Wed) & a new guy
I have yet to meet...he only started this week &
with John in charge. Jo. is only working
weekends now, plus some work with Bankstown
Bushland Society. Our end of year Christmas
Party will be held at a new Thai Restaurant in
Padstow, lunchtime on Fri. 21st. Then we are all
off until after New Year. We're doing "Secret
Santa", sorry you won't be here to celebrate
with all the team, but we'll be thinking of you.
I've just had holidays, 2 weeks with 8 days
spent in Brisbane with my best friend Lyn. We
went to a Missy Higgins concert on Nov. 23rd.
She was really something. Well worth seeing if
you ever get the chance. We were working at
Morgans Creek the other day & Gail called in to
say "hi". She's looking thinner...all that
Police training! But happy & healthy. Her hair
is black & spiky...really suited her. Speaking
of hair, Dave's is blondish. He had a friends'
daughter in her final year of TAFE Hairdressing
& struggling to get a male model for her final
exams...so good old Dave volunteered. She did a
good job. Could rave on forever, you know me!
But I'll keep some news for next time. Will
close now wishing you safe travels until we meet
again. Much Love, Zita. xxxx
